In MDPI I've learned how to work in a big international environment. It's amazing that people from different cultural backgrounds, living in different parts of the word, can cooperate so smoothly. This taught me to be more open and more effective in communication. What is more, the atmosphere here is really motivational which helps me to keep going and learning new things constantly. Our career development is based on our performance, and this drives me to have better and better results in my tasks. At the same time, everybody is extremely helpful, knowing that we are playing in the same team.

MDPI has provided a new working environment for me, my colleagues create an amazing atmosphere and are very helpful. I have gained a lot of knowledge and I'm eager to share it and help out in return. Our support team encourages us in sharing our opinions, they always strive for creating the best office vibe. Teambuildings are a variety of different activities, such as plant printing, gokarting or other unusual experiences, you are never bored. Fresh fruit, coffee and lots of tea are a definite advantage to working here, but it would be for nothing without the people we're surrounding ourselves with :)

I started to work as an Assistant Editor in one of the medical journals at the beginning of 2021. After almost two years in the company, I think this is a fast-developed office with many opportunities. In opposition to other companies, where the only way to get a level up is company change, our career path is easy to improve. Now, I am working as a Journal Relation Specialist and Section Managing Editor. The difference between MDPI and other companies is relevant: you can be in the area which is the most interesting for you, as you are chosen and assigned to the journal by your finished faculty. You can work in your learned job - this is the most relevant point of this position! This is a fantastic opportunity for all employees who were always interested in science but did not want to stay at university. Here, you can still work with research processing, visit the conferences as our representative and participate in a scientific community with a stable, safe position. The job in the Editorial Department can be difficult sometimes when you have a lot of work to do: but it is always satisfying when you think about helping to develop the science community and make access to research easier for all people in the world.

At work, I value flexibility, the working environment and a cool office. I never feel a stressful atmosphere even at the busiest time. I learned a lot here about the process of reviewing scientific papers as well as working in an international environment.
