About the Position
This is a full-time, in-office position in Krakow, suitable for newly graduated. As a Production Editor you will partake in the process of publishing research articles. Through your work you will help to make the world of science more accessible to a large public. Job Summary
Once accepted for publication, articles must be prepared to company and industry standards in PDF, XML and HTML formats. This work is carried out by a production team, using custom software developed by MDPI. 


Responsibilities:

• Supporting the editorial process for academic research journals with copy-editing
• Communicating and cooperating with editors to ensure a high-quality and rapid publication
• Technical formatting of English scientific manuscripts (Word or LaTeX files)
• Converting Word or LaTeX files to XML files
• Using customized software to layout scientific manuscripts
• Converting XML file to a new LaTeX file, ensuring that a new PDF file can be generated in high quality
  
  

Your profile:

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in any subject
• Good command of English—at least B2 level
• General computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Computer programming skills and familiarity with XTML or XML can be an asset
• Previous experience in editing can be an advantage
• Excellent self-organization and attention to detail
• Willingness to collaborate as part of an international team
  
• Good time management skills
  
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
